We first saw Enzo on the CCLRR* website. What is CCLRR you ask? CCLRR stands for Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue, yes I know quite a mouthful (try saying that 3 times fast- haha) The CCLRR is a non-profit rescue outfitted by some of the most wonderful volunteers I have met in my months search. Upon finding them, their response time back to me was within 24 hours, they were not only knowledgeable but truly excited to talk to me and to help me in my search for our next family member! Now, upon finding their website I instantly fell in love with ALL the dogs there, Ahhhh, why oh why can’t I be like Cesar Millan and have enough room for an insanely large pack of dogs?! LOL, Hey I can dream right!
It did take us a small while to find our perfect fit for our family, and yes my spirits did tend to falter a bit (due to previous experience, not the fault of the rescue), but in the end it all fell into place. I remember seeing Enzo’s pictures and short story on the website, but dogs were finding homes like hotcakes…and I for sure figured this cute little pup would not be available…and also we were more looking for an older lab…but sometimes…your dog just chooses you due to fate…
I remember checking my mail that Monday morning…and seeing a message from a CCLRR Rescue volunteer, in it she stated she had Enzo available. Now…I wasn’t sure I wanted to DO puppy…but she lived in ROCKLIN…extremely close to me…so I thought "Wow that is convenient!…Hey can’t hurt to go look!" Plus the pics she sent and the ones on the website were too much to resist…I HAD to go see him!!! I mean look at him…how could you resist??
And then the journey began....
