Enzo's Homecoming...

I couldn’t believe it…the day had FINALLY come! I hadn’t slept much the night before due to the anticipation, I felt like a kid at Christmas! LOL We loaded the car with the crate, hopped in the car, and headed to Folsom to claim our pup! We were all so excited! I had just finished my book the night before and it was awesome! I was even more excited now to own OUR very own Enzo! If you haven’t read the book, I highly recommend it, you will want an Enzo too!! Also along with that book I had just finished reading up on training and working with pups (refresher course never hurts)…and I began to school everyone in the car about the basics, it made for a quick ride for me, but I am sure a long grueling "mom won’t stop talking journey” for the others HA!

So then we arrive at PetSmart! We see tons of people hovering around the CCLRR adoption site, we see so many dogs…and instantly I want to take them ALL home! LOL…yes I controlled myself…but barely! I saw many pets getting adopted, lots of visitors…and then I saw our Enzo! Hooray! We scooped him up, paid our fee, signed the dotted lines…and booked it home to be with our little guy!

That first day was full of action. We had to introduce Enzo to the house, to HIS things, to the kids in action, and of course our beloved 4 year old beagle, Jersey! (the new big sister) While he was super anxious to see her and show her lots of love by licking her face to death, she on the other hand was not so sure what to make of him! She definitely needs some warm up time…but I know, with a little time…they will be great friends! She is already showing off to him with her fetching skills up and down our hallway and of course showing off her “I have to go potty now” bark! She is a ham!

Enzo also got to meet our 1 year old Bunny, Percy. He wagged his tail and barked. But then seemed uninterested! Ah who can blame him, compared to the rest of the action in the house, the bunny is boring! LOL
